Team Bio - John Buchanan

 

John, trimmer/grinder, is a long-time Santa Cruz sailor with considerable experience on a lot of different race boats.  In the 80s he was a key member of the (Peterson 41) Irrational crew.  He later ran the program on his father's Santa Cruz 40, Daisy.  Besides being a regular on Scorpio and Moorigami, John actively races his Olson 30 and Ultimate 20.

John is a self-employed civil engineer and lives in Santa Cruz.  He is a member of the Santa Cruz Yacht Club where he is a very active Regatta Committee member.
