Scorpio Arrives Back
 

On May 10, Max Dudley of Dudley's Boat Transportation pulled up to the KKMI boatyard completing his two

day, 1000 mile drive from Anacortes.

          Kim Desenberg and staff at KKMI will now spend the next week putting her back together for the Stone

          Cup on May 20-21.

KKMI has three major tasks to perform.  First, attach the 7,500# keel (below) and rudder.  Then, put the

boat in the water.  Finally, install the mast.  These three tasks are scheduled for 5/15-5/17.

On Saturday 5/13, Nancy Blum, Toby Cooper, and John Siegel cleaned the boat, and began reloading

sailing gear.  On Wednesday and Thursday, Doug Frolich, will install the electronics and make sure it works.

On Friday, we'll sail the boat to the StFYC for a two hour practice in the evening.

Scorpio will be on the starting line Saturday and Sunday to defend her 2005 victory in the Stone Cup.
